Selling Reimbursable Meals Through Vending
Machines
Meet MAX - The automated Lunch
Line
  MAX
is the star of Vend-ucation’s school vending line of products. MAX
offers students the capability of choosing from different selections for
each component of a lunch or breakfast, literally building their own goverment approved meal from a number of choices within each component.
MAX can also sell everything separately as ala carte choices for cash
or credit.
MAX knows when it is time to sell lunches and when it
is time to sell breakfast meals and won’t allow lunches to be sold
outside the lunch period. MAX will sell ala carte selections anytime you
choose. MAX accepts cash ($1,$5 & $10 bills) as well as a valid student
ID for deductions from a POS lunch account balance.
Unlike many vending machines, MAX knows when the selected
product has been delivered or not. Max is equipped with infrared sensors
criss-crossing his delivery bin and won’t allow a credit to be cancelled
if the chosen product did not pass into the delivery area. You won’t
be interupted with the “lost my money in the vending machine”
woes. MAX saves you grief. He’s got your back.
 MAX
plays well with others ... communicating with your POS system to only
allow reimbursable meals to qualifying students and knows if they are
free, reduced-price or regular price for breakfast as well as for lunch.
MAX charges the vending purchase price against the available balance of
a student’s lunch account or MAX can return cash change for a cash
purchase, including dollars.
MAX is very smart, accepting multiple ID protocols such
as PIN numbers, biometrics, prox cards, key fobs, and both barcoded and
mag-striped student ID cards MAX keeps great records for you, allowing
simple cash justification procedures to keep honest people honest. You
can count on MAX to always know how many products have been sold through
him from all or any specific selections.
MAX is not a glory hound, needing a great deal of attention.
You do need to fill him with product regularly, take out the money, clean
his air filter once in a while and keep him plugged into power. We have
an average of less than one service request per year for each MAX. He
is on the job 24-7 without complaints.
